RANDALL A. SMITH, Elder Randall Smith is a Michigander, native Eastside Detroiter, one of five (5) children brought up in Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of the late Supt. Cecil Boyd at Mt. Elliott St. Church Of God In Christ. Randall Smith was influenced by an older brother who is gifted and talented organist/pianist, a younger brother who is a drummer, Mother Mattie Moss Clark and was led by God to deliver the gospel in message and song. He was called to ministry at a young age and ordained by Overseerer Lorris Upshaw Sr. pastor of New Christ Temple Church Of God In Christ, was licensed as elder and pursued his musical talent by singing at church meetings, conventions, funerals, banquets, musicals and concerts. His musical and preaching gifts have taken him from Michigan to Ohio, to Indiana and Tennessee over the years. He is a student of Dr. Dorinda Clark Cole to sharpen his vocal skills. God led Elder Randall Smith to put pen to paper and write some messages in songs over the years and he has not been deterred by tribulations from this task. He has been married for fourteen (16) years and their union is enduring some trials but nothing has hindered his dedication and commitment to God and the job that God has given him to do. Elder Randall Smith is a firm believer and has faith that God is greater than any obstacle that satan puts in his path. He has his hand on the gospel plow working in the vineyard as God has appointed him
